Azerbaijani investors invited to participate in privatization of Moldovan state enterprises

Moldova invites Azerbaijani investors to participate in the privatization process of state enterprises that will be put up for sale in the near future, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova Viorel Garat said during the Azerbaijani-Moldovan business forum, Report informs.

"Moldova has a number of attractive advantages that make it an important destination for foreign investment. One of these factors is its favorable geographical location, as well as those international agreements that provide direct access to the largest markets in Europe, as well as the CIS countries," he said.

Garat believes that IT, innovation, agriculture and industrial production are promising areas for mutually beneficial cooperation between Moldovan and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.

"In recent years, Moldova has significantly improved its position in international rankings in the field of digital technologies, which opens up wide opportunities for the development of technologies and startups. Over the past two days, we have emphasized that any Azerbaijani investor can open and manage a business in Moldova without leaving Azerbaijan - enjoying the Caspian Sea and at the same time conducting business remotely," he said.

The secretary of state emphasized that the partnership between the countries will bring multiple benefits to both countries and open new horizons for joint development.
