Azerbaijan starts importing flour from Taiwan

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 73,841 tons of flour (wheat or wheat-rye, corn and other cereals) worth $21.41 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 2 times more than the 2022 figure in value terms and 2.5 times more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported flour from Russia, Türkiye, Italy, Luxembourg, Taiwan and other countries.

Last year, for the first time in 13 years, supplies were made from Taiwan.

In 2022, of 29,700 tons of flour imported to Azerbaijan (from 23 countries), 98% came from Russia.
