Azerbaijan starts exporting sugar to Libya

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan exported 41,590 tons of sugar worth $31.82 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistica Committee.
This is 89% higher in value and 84% higher in quantity compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 24,960 tons (84% more than a year ago) of sugar worth $17.63 million (+80%) to Turkmenistan, 12,665 tons (no supply a year ago) worth $10.6 million to Uzbekistan, 2,880 tons (+36%) worth $2.51 million (+29%) to Tajikistan, 726 tons (+44%) worth $749,000 (+19%) to Russia, and 252 tons (-93%) worth $234,000 (-91%) to Georgia.
This year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official foreign trade statistics are publicly available until 2011), supplies were made to Libya (0.5 tons worth $500).
