Azerbaijan starts canned fish imports from Colombia

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 5,331 tons of ready-to-eat or canned fish, valued at $14.7 million, up 18% in volume and 14% in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased these goods from:
- Russia: 3,051 tons (+66%) worth $7.1 million (+79%);
- China: 1,042 tons (-26%) worth $2.4 million (-34%);
- Türkiye: 268 tons (-4%) worth $2.1 million (-2%);
- Latvia: 383 tons (-19%) worth $1.3 million (-14%);
- Belarus: 247 tons (+37%) worth $811,000 (+39%).
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported canned fish from Colombia (0.04 tons worth $400) for the first time in 13 years.
