Azerbaijan sharply increases import of spark plugs from Germany and Japan

In January-May of this year, 1,006,708 spark plugs (+8.2%) for starting engines worth $1,662 million (+8.6%) were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan received 704,345 units (+24%) worth $488.4 thousand from China (+56.4%), 52,133 units (+5 times) worth $316.53 thousand from Japan (+19 times), 65,587 (+5.6 times) worth $216,200 (+2.8 times) from Germany, 72,262 (+20,3%) worth $213,000 (+37%) from Korea, and 6,970 (+4.5 times) worth $173,000 (-14%) from the United States of America.

China accounted for 55% of the 1,749,834 spark plugs imported to Azerbaijan (from 30 countries) in 2022 and Japan accounted for 21.4%.
