Azerbaijan sharply increases imports of walnuts

In January 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1,034 tons (94% times more year-on-year) of walnuts for $3.6 million (3 times more YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.
In the first month of 2023, Azerbaijan imported 908 tons (+7 times) of walnuts from Ukraine for $3.1 million (+11.2 times), 64 tons (-24.7%) from Kyrgyzstan for $305,200 (-25%), 20.5 tons from Moldova for $95,500.
In 2022, Azerbaijan purchased 5,000 tons of walnuts from 14 countries and Ukraine supplied 55% of it.
