Azerbaijan sharply cuts raisins supply from Iran

In January-February this year, Azerbaijan purchased 773,360 tons of dried grapes from abroad for the amount of $1.61 million.
According to Report's calculations, based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, this is 7% less in price terms and 17.4% in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, 741,410 tons of products were imported from Uzbekistan in the amount of $1.56 million, from Iran – 31,090 tons in the amount of $51,090, from Germany – 10 kg in the amount of $70.
Compared to the corresponding period in 2021, supplies from Uzbekistan increased by 66.8% and 67.6%, respectively, from Iran - decreased by 93.4% and 93.5%, from Germany - by 12.5% and 0%.
Last year, out of 4,400 tons of raisins imported into the country from abroad (6 countries), 54.8% fell on Uzbekistan and 43.8% - on Iran.
