Azerbaijan’s fertilizer export revenues rise by almost 52%

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported fertilizers worth $127.054 million, marking a 51.6% increase year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported fertilizers worth $72.492 million, which is 0.6% more compared to 2023.
Fertilizers accounted for 0.3% of Azerbaijan's total imports and 0.5% of total exports in 2024.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth over $47.612 billion in 2024, which is 7% less than the previous year. Of that, more than $26.554 billion accounted for exports and $21.058 billion fell to imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 21.7 percent, while imports grew by 21.8 percent.
Consequently, there was a surplus of more than $5.496 billion in Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover for 2024, representing a 3-fold drop compared to 2023.
