Azerbaijan doubles electric vehicle imports from US

In January 2025, Azerbaijan imported 139 electric vehicles worth $6.6 million, marking a year-on-year decline of 58% in number and 32% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During this period, Azerbaijan purchased electric vehicles from:

- Germany: 25 units (+47%) worth $3.2 million (+2 times);

- China: 75 units (-62%) worth $2.2 million (-70%);

- The US: 32 units (+2 times) worth $543,000 (+1.5%);

- The UK: 1 unit worth $396,000 (no supply a year ago);

- Austria: 1 unit worth $150,000 (no supply a year ago).

Overall, Azerbaijan imported 3,027 electric vehicles in 2024, of which 76.4% came from China.
