Azerbaijan resumes tomato sales to Moldova

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 134,376 tons of tomatoes, valued at $149 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 18% in volume and 9% in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan sold tomatoes to:
- Russia: 129,811 tons (+15%) worth $141.85 million (+6%);
- Belarus: 2,274 tons (+2 times) worth $5 million (+2 times);
- Georgia: 1,429 tons (+25 times) worth $963,000 (+18 times);
- Poland: 642 tons (+2.6 times) worth $956,000 (+2.2 times);
- Ukraine: 167 tons (+5 times) worth $187,000 (+4 times).
Azerbaijan has resumed tomato supplies to Moldova (17.5 tons worth $10,500) after a 1-year and 9-month break.
In 2024, 97.4% of the 145,600 tons of tomatoes exported from Azerbaijan went to Russia.
