Azerbaijan resumes sugar supplies to two countries

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan exported 32,648 tons of sugar worth $25 million, 50% higher in value terms and 46.2% higher in quantity compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 21,120 tons of sugar (+56% more than a year ago) to Turkmenistan worth $15.1 million (54%), to Uzbekistan 8,085 tons worth $6.75 million (no supply a year ago), to Tajikistan 2,496 tons (+3%) worth $2.2 million (+12%), to Russia 614 tons (+49%) worth $636,000 (+22%), and to Georgia 233 tons (-93.5%) worth $212,000 (-92%).
Azerbaijan resumed sugar supplies to Kuwait (0.3 tons worth $900) after two years and five months, and to Uzbekistan after two years and eleven months.
