Azerbaijan resumes PVC imports from Georgia

Azerbaijan imported 23,707 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) valued at $19.61 million in the first ten months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the imports decreased by 8 percent in volume and by 15 percent in value.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 18,535 tons (+40%) of PVC from Russia worth $14.21 million (+27%), 3,000 tons (-22%) from Iran worth $2.74 million (-29%), 1,170 tons (+60%) from Türkiye worth $1.5 million (+50%), 642 tons (-91%) worth from the United States $680,000 (-90%), and 40 tons (+2,000 times) from Germany worth $90,000 (+692 times).

Azerbaijan has resumed PVC supplies from Georgia (19 tons worth $26,000) for the first time in 7 years.
