Azerbaijan resumes bijou imports from one more country

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 58.345 tons of bijou worth $905,540, respectively, up 95.2% and 82% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 34.119 tons (+2.1 times) of bijouterie worth $477,670 (+2.1 times) from China, 22.284 tons (+78.3%) worth $198,830 (+53%) from Turkiye, 72.65 tons (+62%) worth $73,260 (+38%) from Italy, 134.86 tons (+2 times) worth $70,240 (+2.8 times) from Thailand, and 512.11 tons (+5.2 times) worth $17,510 (+4.8 times) from India.

This year, Azerbaijan imported bijou from Nepal for the first time in 11 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011). Nine kilograms of the product worth $720 were purchased from the country.
