Azerbaijan records high growth in cinnamon imports from China

Azerbaijan imported 18.73 tons of cinnamon for $92,000 during the first five months of 2024, Report informs, referring to the country's State Statistical Committee.
The obtained data shows a 46-percent increase in volume and a 35-percent growth in value from the same period of 2023.
In the specified period, Azerbaijan bought 6.1 tons (+71%) of cinnamon from Vietnam worth $35,240 (+59% ), 1.38 tons (+2 times) from Sri Lanka worth $19,290 (+61%), 5.6 tons (+2%) from India worth $16,800 (+5%), 3 tons (+50%) from Iran worth $7,720 (+48%), and 2.19 tons (+220 times) from China worth $7,600 (+95 times).
Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan imported 74.3 tons of cinnamon from 12 countries, of which 43.9% fell to Vietnam and 23.6% to China.
