Azerbaijan nearly doubles canned beef imports

During the three months of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 276 tons of ready-to-eat or canned beef products worth $693,000, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 87% more in value and 94% more in quantity than the same period in 2024.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 267 tons (+98%) of the product worth $610,000 from Russia (+86%), 7.85 tons (+2 times) worth $47,000 from Belarus (+2 times), 1.55 tons (+1%) worth $30,000 from Türkiye (+2.5 times), 0.04 tons (+33%) worth $4,130 from Italy, and 0.09 tons worth $1,280 from Ukraine (there were no supplies a year ago).

Russia accounted for 95% of the 699 tons of canned beef imported to Azerbaijan in 2024.
