Azerbaijan increases import of car tires from main supply market

From January through November 2022, Azerbaijan imported 1.564 million units (10% more year-on-year) of rubber tires (for cars and trucks, new) for $76 million (18% more year-on-year), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 952,139 units (32% more than a year ago) of tires from China for $44 million (+33%), 244,688 units (-6%) from Türkiye for $12.61 million (+12.8%), 106,605 units (-41%) from Russia for $5.15 million (-24%), 91,100 units (+7.1%) from Korea $3.641 million (+17%), 17,000 units (-21%) from Japan for $1.866 million (-7%).

In 2021, China accounted for 52% of Azerbaijan’s total tire imports (among 40 countries).
