Azerbaijan greatly increases ketchup imports from 2 countries

In January-September this year, 2,000 tons of ketchup worth $3.1 million were imported to Azerbaijan.

According to Report’s calculations based on State Statistics Committee data, this is 12% more than in the same period in 2022 in value terms and 9% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 910 tons (-15%) of ketchup worth $1.35 million from Russia (20% less than a year ago), and 487 tons (+7.3%) worth $758,000 from Türkiye (+27%), 165 tons (+2.3 times) for $393,000 from Germany (+2.7 times), 223 tons (+83%) for $261,000 from Kazakhstan (+2.1 times), 81.5 tons from Portugal (no deliveries a year ago) worth $121,000.

Of the ketchup imported to Azerbaijan in 2022 (from 22 countries) totaling $4.4 million, 54% came from Russia, 25.2% from Türkiye, 5.5% from Germany and 5.3% from Kazakhstan.
