Azerbaijan boosts rice imports from Türkiye

Azerbaijan imported 14,422 tons of rice worth $15.3 million in January-February 2024, respectively, down 10% and up 10% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 10,764 tons (-26%) of rice worth $12.36 million (-4%) from India, 1,355 tons (+fourfold) worth $1.1 million (+fourfold) from China, 1,000 tons worth $872,000 from Vietnam (no supplies were made last year), 826 tons (+84%) worth $684,000 (+2.5-fold) from Pakistan, and 311 tons (+78) worth $193,000 (+19-fold) from Türkiye.
