Azerbaijan begins importing peanuts from three more countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 5,522 tons (5% less YoY) of peanuts for $8.9 million (5% more YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 1,386 tons (-6%) of peanuts for $2.44 million (+5%) from Brazil, 1,618 tons (-30%) for $2 .3 million (-35%) from Uzbekistan, 1,302 tons (+14 times) for $2.1 million (+14 times) from India.
Last year, for the first time in the last 13 years, Azerbaijan imported peanuts from the Netherlands (0.01 tons for $10), the UAE (0.1 tons for $150) and Egypt.
