Azerbaijan begins importing curry powder from Poland

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 42 tons of curry powder worth $161,000, marking an increase of 1.5% in volume and 6% in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased curry powder:
- From Iran: 20.6 tons (-14%) worth $43,600 (-28%);
- From Germany: 5.1 tons (+26%) worth $34,500 (+34%);
- From Türkiye: 6.44 tons (+18%) worth $26,900(+9.2%);
- From Georgia: 1.3 tons worth $21,100 (no supply a year ago);
- From India: 3.6 tons (-3%) worth $15,500 (+83%);
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported curry from Poland (0.15 tons worth 1,000) for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
