Azerbaijan begins importing coffee from Cyprus

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 608 tons of coffee, valued at $6.1 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 26% and 41%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
In the specified period, Azerbaijan purchased coffee from:
- Italy: 130 tons (+31%) worth $1.9 million (+35%);
- Brazil: 162 tons (-0.1%) worth $1 million (+28%);
- Türkiye: 74 tons (-1.3%) worth $789,000 (+14%);
- The Netherlands: 26 tons (+18%) worth $326,000 (+19%);
- The United Kingdom: 15.95 tons (+3.5 times) worth $261,000 (+3.6 times).
In 2024, Azerbaijan supplied coffee from Cyprus (0.6 tons worth $7,500) for the first time in 13 years (publicly available foreign trade statistics date back to 2011).
