Russia resumes importing grapes from Azerbaijan

During the first seven months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 109.1 tons of grapes (fresh) for $98,200, up 58% and 42%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan purchased 26.22 tons (+22.8%) of grapes from Chile for $26,220 (22.7% more than a year ago), 36.24 tons from Russia for $25,370, 12.98 tons (-33%) from South Africa for $12,980 (-33.3%), 11.95 tons from Iran for $11,950 (there was no supply a year ago), 11.9 tons (-37.3%) from Peru for $11,900 (-39%).
Supply from Russia has been restored after five years.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 404.28 tons (-36%) of grapes worth $377,760 (-23.5%) (as a year ago, only to Russia).
