Azerbaijan starts to import ginger from one more country 

Azerbaijan imported 236.8 tons of ginger worth $514,890 in January-August 2022, down 16% and up 32%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Below are the countries from where Azerbaijan imported ginger in the reporting period:

- China – 145.85 tons (+2.8%) worth $301,850 (+63%);

- Brazil – 56.3 tons (-18%) worth $112,000 (+37%);

- India - 22.01 tons (-45%) worth $56,440 (-16%);

- Iran – 9.65 tons (+2.7 times) worth $24,120 (+2.5 times);

- Turkiye – 1.6 tons (-35%) worth $14,520 (+1.8%).

After 11 years, Azerbaijan imported 20 kg of ginger worth $520 from Spain.
