Azerbaijan starts importing kiwi from Spain

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 3,123 tons of kiwi worth $2.24 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee's data.
This is 2% less in value terms and 3% less in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 3,054 tons of products (4% less than the previous year) from Iran worth $2.15 million (-4%), 56 tons (+87%) from Chile worth $78,800 (+88%), 11 tons (+57%) from China worth $33,200 (+27%), 0.9 tons (-17%) from Italy worth $7,140 (+3.7 times), and 0.77 tons (+2.5 times) from New Zealand worth $6,200 (+3.6 times).
Last year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade available for public use go back to 2011), supplies were imported from Spain (0.11 ton worth $900).
