Azerbaijan starts importing green tea from Argentina

During January-September of this year, Azerbaijan imported 227.5 tons of green tea worth $1.34 million.

Report informs that, according to calculations based on data from the State Statistics Committee, this is 38% higher in value and 79% higher in quantity compared to the same period in 2022.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 70 tons (+75%) of green tea worth $489,000 (43% more than a year ago) from Russia, 125 tons (+2.6 times) worth $422,000 (+2.3 times) from China, 9.52 tons (+5%) worth $106,000 (+0.3%) from the United Arab Emirates, 8.13 tons (+2.3 times) worth $79,600 (+86%) from Sri Lanka, and 4.13 tons (-37%) worth $65,700 (-36%) from Türkiye.

This year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official foreign trade statistics are publicly available until 2011), supplies were made from Argentina (0.01 tons worth $110).
