Azerbaijan sharply increases coconut imports from Thailand

In January-March 223, Azerbaijan imported 112 tons (14.3% more YoY) of coconuts for $244,400 (5% less year-on-year), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 78 tons of coconuts (+56%) from Indonesia for $168,400 (+ 11%), 19.21 tons (+37%) from Côte d'Ivoire for $39,250 (+40%), 2.46 tons (+3.4 times) from Thailand for $11,820 (+3.3 times), 4.1 tons (-87.7% ) from Vietnam for $8,450 (-88%), 3.5 tons (no deliveries a year ago) from Iran for $7,000.

In 2022, Azerbaijan spent $1.347 million on coconut imports from 13 countries - 39% from Indonesia and 32.2% from Vietnam.
