Azerbaijan sees high growth in dates imports from Algeria

Azerbaijan imported 5,000 tons of dates (both fresh and dried) worth $7.38 million in the first three months of this year, Report informs with reference to State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
The data show an increase of 25 percent in volume and 31 percent in value compared to the same period of 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 3,446 tons (+8.3%) of dates from Iran worth $4 million (+14%), 990 tons (+59%) from Tunisia worth $1.82 million (+65%) , 502 tons (+6 times) from Algeria worth $937,000 (+6 times), 56 tons (+10%) from Israel worth $405,300 (+7.4%), 19 from Palestine worth $130,000 (no supply a year ago).
