Azerbaijan’s peanut exports from China soar

In January-March 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1,965 tons of peanuts for $3.36 million.

According to Report's calculations based on the data of the State Statistical Committee, this is 50% more than the indicator of the same period of 2023 in value terms, and 25.5% in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan bought 757 tons (25% more than a year ago) of peanuts from Uzbekistan for $1.12 million (+49%), 585 tons (+3 times) from Brazil for $1.1 million (+3.7 times), 270 tons (+11 times) from China for $484,000 (+11 times), 218 ​​tons (-49%) from India worth $375,000 (-39%), 85.5 tons (+37 %) from Egypt for $144,000 (+43%).

Some 29.3% of the 5,521 tons of peanuts brought to Azerbaijan from 10 countries last year were purchased from Uzbekistan, 25.1% from Brazil, and 23.6% from India.
