Azerbaijan’s animal feed imports from Türkiye skyrocket

In January-March 2025, Azerbaijan imported 60,334 tons of animal feed (plant products, bran, plant waste, and residues), valued at $26.8 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 57% and 25%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan purchased animal feed from:

- Argentina: 32,950 tons (+55%) worth $16.8 million (+22%);

- Russia: 22,450 tons (+61%) worth $7.94 million (+31%);

- Ukraine: 3,859 tons (+41%) worth $1.78 million (+16%);

- Kazakhstan: 1,050 tons (+2.4 times) worth $268,000 (+87%);

-Türkiye: 24 tons (+218 times) worth $14,400 (+33 times).

In 2024, 59.4% of the 183,000 tons of animal feed imported to Azerbaijan came from Argentina.
