Azerbaijan resumes wine exports to two countries

Azerbaijan imported 33,750 decaliters of grape wine worth $2.769 million in the first three quarters of 2022, respectively, up 8.1% and 5.3% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Below are the countries that exported wine to Azerbaijan in the reporting period:
- Italy - 14,880 decaliters (+42%) worth $1.323 million (+20%);
- France – 3,280 decaliters (-45.3%) worth $723,490 (-12%);
- Georgia – 8,350 decaliters (-28%) worth $304,820 (-31%):
- Russia – 1,920 decaliters worth $74,440 (resumed after 1 year and 5 months);
- Spain – 780 decaliters (+34.5%) worth $57,210 (+6%).
In January-October 2022, Azerbaijan exported 190,420 decaliters (+23.4%) of wine worth $3.373 million (+33%) to the following countries:
- Russia – 167,750 decaliters (+27.3%) worth $2.743 million (+57%);
- Unspecified country – 1,760 decaliters (+2.4 times) worth $161,210 (+2.8 times);
- Belarus – 5,760 decaliters (+35%) worth $131,120 (+42%);
- Romania – 2,180 decaliters worth $52,330;
- Japan – 1,170 decaliters (-25.5%) worth $43,780 (-71%).
Azerbaijan resumed exports of wine to Switzerland after 3 years and 9 months (10 decaliters worth $180) and Germany after 1 year and 3 months (10 decaliters worth $190).
