Azerbaijan resumes salmon imports from three countries

In the first seven months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 294.53 tons of salmons (fresh and frozen) worth $1.781 million, respectively, down 8% and up 25.4% from the previous year, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the country imported 152.02 tons (-6.2) of salmons worth $945,240 (+18.1) from Chile, 100.91 tons (+48.8%) worth $584,230 (+67.3%) from Norway, 10.74 tons (+8.2%) worth $173,280 (+27.2%) from Luxembourg, 13.56 tons worth $40,680 from Canada, 16.2 tons worth $29,360 from Faroe Islands, and 1.1 tons worth $8,000 from Turkiye.
The supply from the Faroe Islands was resumed after six years and six months, from Turkiye after three years and one month, and from Canada after two years and seven months.
