Azerbaijan resumes export of hazelnuts to Belgium

In January-November 2023, Azerbaijan exported 21,382 tons of hazelnuts worth $111.53 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 14% more than in the same period in 2022 in value terms and 12.6% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 11,625 tons of products (+17%) worth $57.9 million to Russia (21% more than a year earlier), 3,309 tons (+26.2%) worth $19.6 million (+24%) to Germany, 2,400 tons (-42%) for $14 million (-45%) to Italy, 880 tons (+4.4 times) worth $5.23 million (+4.4 times) to Switzerland, 688 tons (+33 times) worth $3.71 million (+35 times) to Türkiye.

After eight years and six months, Azerbaijan resumed supplies of hazelnuts to Belgium (22 tons worth $143,000).

Of 21,900 tons of hazelnuts exported from Azerbaijan (to 22 countries) in 2022, 52.5% came from Russia.
