Azerbaijan resumes egg export

In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan exported 4,320,000 eggs worth $225.96 thousand (except fertilized eggs for incubation).
Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee, that the last time Azerbaijan exported eggs was in 2019.
This year, 2,160,000 eggs worth $90 thousand were sold to Iraq, 1,440,000 units worth $89.96 thousand to the United Arab Emirates, and 720,000 units worth $46 thousand to Qatar.
During the reporting period, 1,129,000 (-83%) eggs worth $86.99 thousand (-83.1%) were imported to Azerbaijan.
The supply was carried out only from Belarus, which is 5.8 times and 7.2 times higher than a year ago.
A total of 62.1% of the 17.2 million eggs imported to Azerbaijan last year went to Belarus and the rest to Ukraine.
