Azerbaijan resumes corn imports from Brazil

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 67,576 tons of corn (including kernels) worth $20.53 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.
This is 6% higher in value terms and 3% higher in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 65,737 tons (+2%) of corn from Russia for $13.83 million (+4%), 1,066 tons (+42%) from Türkiye for $2.7 million (-16%), 127 tons (-46%) from Serbia for $811,000 (-35%), 126 tons (+45%) from Romania for $665,000 (+55%), and 115 tons (+47%) from Ukraine for $601,000 (+77%).
Azerbaijan resumed imports from Brazil (75 tons worth $57,800) after a 3-year and 10-month break.
