Azerbaijan more than doubles soybean imports from Austria

In January-June 2023, Azerbaijan imported 7,483 tons (26% less year-on-year) of soybeans for $5.2 million (25% less year-on-year), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 5,500 tons of soybeans from Brazil for $3.58 million (no deliveries a year ago), 1,912 tons (-81% year-on-year) from Ukraine for $1.4 million, 45.23 tons (-72%) from Türkiye for $101,610 (-66%), 23.94 tons (+2.2 times) from Austria for $71,830 (+3 times), 1.13 tons (+13%) from India for $1,680 (+44%).
Of the 40,287 tons of soybeans imported to Azerbaijan (from 8 countries) in 2022, 65.2% came from Ukraine.
