Azerbaijan begins pomegranate exports to Oman

Azerbaijan exported 18,606 tons of pomegranates worth $16.4 million during the first 10 months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the exports grew by 6 percent in volume, while decreasing 20 percent in value.

In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan sold 16,099 tons (+10%) of pomegranates to Russia for $14.48 million (-20%), 807 tons (-40%) to Ukraine for $806,000 (-30%), 1,243 tons (+16.3%) to Georgia for $745,000 (+30%), 219 tons (+7%) to Kazakhstan for $155,000 (-3%), and 152 tons (-44%) to Belarus for $135,000 (-50%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported pomegranate to Oman (21.8 tons worth $18,500) for the first time in 13 years.
