Azerbaijan begins importing fruit trees from Pakistan

In January-November 2023, Azerbaijan imported 5.109 million (3.5% more YoY) trees and bushes (with edible fruits) for $12.67 million (21% more YoY), Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 3.628 million trees or bushes (+28.4%) worth $7.92 million (+24%) from Türkiye, 370,000 (+35%) worth $1.71 million (+47%) from Italy, 460,000 (-10%) worth $760,000 (-4%) from Greece, 93,700 (-65%) worth $639,500 (+2.2 times) from the Netherlands, 108,000 (-26%) worth $571,000 (-32%) from France.

For the first time in the last 12 years, Azerbaijan imported trees and bushes from Pakistan (4,200 trees for $51,100).
