Tourist flow to Azerbaijan up by 34%

Some 1.23 million foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan in January-June 2024, 34% more year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country's State Tourism Agency.

In June, 265,549 people visited the country, 29% more YoY.

Last month, Azerbaijan received the largest number of tourists from Russia (82,246 people), followed by Türkiye (38,329 people), and India (28,315 people).

During this period, 17,200 tourists came from Iran, 14,700 tourists - from Saudi Arabia, 8,900 tourists - from Georgia, 8,900 tourists - from Kazakhstan, 7,700 tourists - from Pakistan, 4,300 tourists - from Uzbekistan, 4,200 tourists - from Israel, 4,100 tourists - from China, 3,700 tourists - from the UAE, 3,500 tourists - from Kuwait, 3,200 tourists - from Ukraine, and 2,900 - from South Korea.
