Tourist arrivals from Western Europe to Azerbaijan rose by 19% in June

In June 2025, Azerbaijan welcomed 10,073 tourists from Western European countries, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Tourism Agency.

During the month, the number of tourists from each Western European country was as follows:

- United Kingdom: 2,459 visitors (+20%);

- Germany: 2,364 (+39%);

- Italy: 1,132 (+13%);

- Spain: 606 (-49%);

- France: 570 (+1%);

- The Netherlands: 529 (+25%);

- Sweden: 413 (+4%);

- Austria: 313 (+39%);

- Greece: 300 (+2.5 times);

- Portugal: 292 (+2.3times);

- Belgium: 277 (+15%);

- Switzerland: 214 (+0.5%);

- Norway: 171 (-10%);

- Ireland: 143 (-27%);

- Denmark: 107 (-4%).

The total number of international arrivals to Azerbaijan in June reached 237,509, reflecting an overall 11% year-on-year decline. The top contributing countries were:

- Russia: 73,415 (-11%);

- Türkiye: 40,326 (+5%);

- Iran: 15,297 (-11%).
