Over 400 trade facilities joined the Second Baku Shopping Festival

Baku. 18 October. REPORT. AZ/ The main target of the Second Baku Shopping Festival is foreign tourists.

Report informs, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nazim Samadov told reporters.

"Activity of local buyers was observed in the first festival. Main goal of this year's festival is to achieve foreign tourism activity. Special tourism packages have been prepared for this purpose. Currently, sale has been launched abroad, in Russia, Arab countries and other potential countries to attract tourists. We believe that foreign tourists' activity will be higher this year", the deputy minister said.

N.Samadov added that number of shopping facilities, joining the festival, sharply increased and over 400 facilities took part in the event: "One of the innovations of this year's festival is joining of pharmacies and supermarkets to the festival. 2 supermarkets were chosen as pilot project".

Notably, the Second Baku Shopping Festival will run between October 15 to November 15.
