Number of inbound tourists to reach 3 million in Azerbaijan

The number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan will reach 3 million in 2025, Kanan Guluzada, advisor to the chairman of the country's State Tourism Agency, said during a press conference dedicated to the 2024 tourism results and the opening of the winter season, co-organized by Shahdag Tourism Center, Report informs.

According to Kanan Guluzada, based on current growth rates, the annual number of inbound tourists is projected to increase to 4 million by 2028.

"In 2024 so far, 24,519 commercial flights have been operated to Azerbaijan, which represents an 18% increase compared to the previous period. At the same time, during January-October, the accommodation and food service sector generated a total added value of 2.49 billion manats ($1.46 billion), which is an 11.3% increase compared to the same period last year," said Guluzada.
