The Middle Corridor opens perspectives not only for freight transportation but also in the tourism sector, Acting Head of the State Tourism Agency Kanan Guluzada said during a media tour dedicated to the opening of the summer season.
Report informs that, according to Guluzada Azerbaijan's geographical position provides strategic advantages: "The Middle Corridor is not just a transport route, but a path that promotes the development of interregional connections. For those traveling from Central Asia to Europe, the route passes through Azerbaijan. From this perspective, we must maximize the opportunities provided," he noted.
Guluzada added that tourism products are being developed within the framework of the Middle Corridor: "For example, service organizations from Turkic states are working together on routes and service packages. This contributes to the creation of new tourism offerings. Additionally, products developed within the Silk Road framework also encompass countries that are part of this corridor."
He emphasized that for the full and dynamic advancement of the process, legal, financial, and institutional cooperation between the countries of the region is necessary.
