According to preliminary forecasts, approximately one million people, including local and foreign tourists, will visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan by 2025, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev told Report.
"Currently, the Agency is implementing several projects in those territories. Works for the construction of tourist complexes are being carried out in Hadrut, Tugh, Dashalti, Sugovushan, and Shahbulag. The region's tourism potential is evaluated, and tourism products are established. Of course, first, demining and construction of infrastructure should be done in those areas, and the population should return there. We think that in the next two years, the liberated territories will be opened for world tourism, and we will be able to receive guests there," he noted.
