EU: Grant allocated to Azerbaijan to help develop rural areas

The grant of 2 billion euros allocated to Azerbaijan as part of European Union's economic and investment plan will help develop rural areas, the EU Representative in Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, has said.
Report informs that Michalko was speaking at the seminar on the development of the rural areas and the creation of the national agritourism sector in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan has a great potential in agritourism, Michalko said, noting that there are several aspects, including sharing knowledge on developing rural areas, quality food production, ecologically safe agriculture. He expressed pride that the EU's best experts in Azerbaijan will be engaged in this process. Michalko added that positive results would be achieved at this seminar.
