Hotels in Azerbaijan post over twofold increase in spending

In 2023, the total expenses of hotels (including all star classifications) in Azerbaijan amounted to 677,484,000 manats (about $398,520,000), up 2.2 times from 2022, Report informs, referring to State Tourism Agency.

Last year, Azerbaijani hotels spent 114,883,000 manats ($67,578,234) on food and drinks, representing an increase of 2.2 times compared to the previous year.

In 2023, the fuel and energy costs of hotels increased by 2.2 times to 46,506,000 manats (about $27,356,470), water purchase costs rose by 2.1 times to 5,368,000 manats (about $3,157,647), wage costs increased by 2.3 times to 229,291,000 manats (about $134,877,057), rental costs rose by 2.6 times to 22,388,000 manats (about $13,169,411), repair expenses rose by 1.8 times to 7,240,000 manats (about $4,258,823), advertising expenses increased by 1.9 times to 4,907,000 manats (about $2,886,470), tax expenses increased by 1.9 times to 49,985,000 manats (about $29,402,940), and other expenses increased by 2.2 times to 196,916,000 manats (about $115,832,940).
