The National Bank of Georgia has revealed that tourists from Azerbaijan spent a staggering $48.6 million in Georgia during the first quarter of 2025.

This figure represents a remarkable 19.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, according to Report.

Georgia's total tourism revenue in the first quarter of 2025 reached $823 million, marking a 2.3% increase from the previous year. Despite a 17.2% decrease in tourist spending from Russia, which amounted to $141.8 million, the country still maintains its position as the top contributor to Georgia's tourist flow.

Other significant contributors to Georgia's tourism revenue include Israel, with $114.2 million, followed closely by Türkiye at $107.1 million, and the European Union, which contributed $103.2 million.

Tourist spending from neighboring Armenia experienced a 10% decline, with Armenian tourists spending $28.2 million in Georgia during the first quarter. Similarly, Iran and Belarus also saw decreases in their contributions, with Iranian tourists spending $27.2 million (down by 8%) and Belarusian tourists spending $15.9 million (down by 3.8%).
