Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) presents a new project to support inbound tourism companies in the country to support their activities in the post-pandemic period and, in general, to develop an innovative, digital approach in this area, ATB told Report.
The project is implemented jointly by the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA) and the Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AZTA).
The latest digital technologies have become increasingly important in the tourism industry and have become a leading factor in shaping tourism products and the business environment. Digitalization has even changed the traditional roles of tourism producers and consumers. In particular, the number of digital platforms is expected to increase after the pandemic, and tourism products, services, and practices will be flexible based on direct demand, market, economic factors, and customer feedback. Thus, this program's primary purpose is to support the proposed projects in digital tourism and ensure the online dissemination of content on the destination of tourism in Azerbaijan," the statement said.
Applications for the project will be accepted until September 25. The evaluation and selection of the adopted projects will end on October 23.
