Azerbaijan aims to increase tourist flow from Germany and Switzerland

The direct flights from Baku to Vienna, Austria, which will be launched by the Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) from next week, will have a positive effect on the expansion of tourism relations with target countries such as Germany and Switzerland, Florian Sengstschmid, the CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), said, Report informs.

According to him, the promotion and propaganda events, which are regularly held in Austria and aimed at increasing the number of tourists, will be intensified.

The chairman of the agency, Fuad Nagiyev, noted that Baku-Vienna flights will contribute to tourist exchange and make Azerbaijan more accessible to European tourists. He said that large-scale measures have been taken to promote Azerbaijan as a tourist destination, special attention has been paid to the development of tourism at the state level, and he believes that the number of tourists from Europe will increase in the post-pandemic recovery process.
