At the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Georgian airline Georgia Wings will be included in the list of foreign airlines operating flights to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Report informs referring to the ministry.
During this year the list was replenished with such low-cost airlines as WizzAir Malta, Flyadeal, Air Cairo.
The first flight of the Georgian air carrier on the Tbilisi-Baku route will take place on September 6. The airline will operate regular flights three times a week (on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) on the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route on an ATR72-500 aircraft with a capacity of 72 people.
IndiGo (India), Aegean Airlines (Greece) and Air Arabia Abu-Dhabi (UAE) will also start flights to Baku in the near future.
