Azerbaijan has developed mechanisms to support the employment of citizens from socially vulnerable groups of the population and those who have not been able to find work for a long time, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Mustafa Abbasbayli said at a briefing, Report informs.
He noted that mechanisms for active employment measures “Targeted Programs” and “Jobs Above the Quota” have been developed, and draft legislative amendments have been submitted to the relevant executive authorities.
The new measures are aimed at encouraging employers to create new jobs for people from these categories, Abbasbayli added.
He also spoke about the preparation of an apprenticeship program and an internship mechanism aimed at expanding access to the labor market for young people without work experience.
